CWS Logistics is looking to hire a Forklift Operator.
Responsibilities:
Unloading and loading trailers.
Able to match documentation for receiving and shipping with the products.
Efficient order picking and able to follow the company process.
Efficient in stacking heights of up to 25 feet.
Responsible for securing load and understanding load securement method.
Carry out pre and post-trip inspections of the forklift and accurately document damages.
Occasionally perform light maintenance on the forklift.
Comply with company policies and procedures as well as industry standards.
Comply and participate with Canada Labour Code Part II (health and safety regulations) and AWSA program.
Report product defects & damages with adjoining documentation.
Report near misses and accidents.
Collection of empty chemical drums and totes on behalf of our customers.
Perform duties of a laborer.
Perform all other duties assigned by the manager.
Requirements:
Proven work experience as a forklift operator.
Ability to work long hours and odd weekends during a busy season.
Excellent focus and attention to detail.
Ability to write and do basic math calculations.
Ability to work as a team and independently.
Extensive knowledge of forklift mechanical parts and operations.
Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations.
Working knowledge of Apple device and IOS.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to pallet jack 1000 kg pallets of product.
Ability to climb trailers, tankers, railcars, stairs, and ladders.
TDG, WHMIS, and Forklift certification obtained.
