Our Opportunity:
True to provenance. Our abalone farm is supplied with some of the highest quality ocean seawater in the world through a natural deep-water intake.
Key responsibilities:
Checking and observing paua to ensure behaviour reflects optimal growing
Feeding, grading, harvesting, and packing
Cleaning and maintenance
Quality assurance, bio security and compliance
This role is physical, and you must be able to lift, up to 15 kgs on a continuous basis.
What You Will Bring:
Ideally you will have an interest in developing a career in aquaculture. You will be comfortable working in cold and dark conditions that provide optimal growing conditions for paua to be farmed, or in a processing environment where you pack and dispatch paua to customers both locally and internationally.
Physically fit, you will be a reliable team player and know the importance of being organized. Easy to work with, you are an effective communicator who possesses a high level of integrity. Your reputation as an honest, hardworking, and a down to earth employee will proceed you, as well as your can-do attitude. No job is too small or big as you always strive to do your best and complete your work to the highest standard.
