We are a busy strawberry farm seeking a Farm Hand. Join our fun, hardworking team and enjoy all the benefits of working outdoors at Ruakura Berry Farm!

Full time role 30+ hours a week

Hourly rate is $27.76 - $29 per hour (including 8% holiday pay). Rate is negotiable, depending on experience.

Located in Newstead, Hamilton, just 10 minutes from the CBD

Duties may include:

- General maintenance of farms – keep the grounds of the farm clean and tidy; mowing lawns, weeding, repair farm buildings, fences, and ensure constant maintenance measures are taken.

- Operation and maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.

- Setting and maintaining irrigation equipment

- Load filled fruit containers onto trucks

- Assisting farm manager in other areas of the farm when necessary

To be considered for this role you must be:

· Must be available to work weekends and early mornings. Physically fit & have good physical stamina – work is physically demanding and you are on your feet most of the time.

· Dedicated and hardworking, Attention to detail, reliable and fast learner.

· Good communication skills, enjoy working outdoors, Work well independently and in a team. Excellent work ethic.

· Horticultural knowledge is an advantage but not necessary as training will be provided.

-Must have the legal right to work in NZ
