Our farm is known for its commitment to sustainable agriculture and environmental conservation. We are dedicated to the ongoing development of our farm and the responsible management of a small cattle herd.
Job Description:
As a Farm Hand at Ridgmont Farm, you will play a vital role in various aspects of farm operations. Reporting to our Farm Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Irrigation: Efficiently manage and maintain irrigation systems.
Pasture Management: Implement strategies to ensure healthy and productive pastures.
Farm Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on farm infrastructure.
Farm Machinery Operation: Operate machinery for tasks such as sowing, spraying, and spreading.
Fencing Repairs: Conduct necessary repairs and improvements to farm fencing.
General Gardening Maintenance: Undertake garden maintenance tasks, including mowing, brush cutting, and hedging.
Ongoing Development: Contribute to the continuous growth and development of the farm.
Cattle Herd Management: Assist in the responsible management and care of our small cattle herd.
While prior experience in all these areas is not mandatory, we are looking for candidates with a strong willingness to learn and a proactive "can-do" attitude. Possession of an MR Truck license and a chemical certificate is desirable but not essential.
