Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Hand to join our team. As a Farm Hand, you will be responsible for various tasks related to livestock husbandry, general farm maintenance, machinery operation, and irrigation. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic and a passion for agriculture.
Responsibilities:
Perform all aspects of livestock husbandry, including feeding, health monitoring, and general care.
Conduct general farm maintenance tasks such as fencing, repairs, and upkeep.
Operate modern machinery with GPS technology, including Balers, Mowers, Rakes, Cultivation Machinery, Telehandlers, and Sprayers.
Carry out routine machinery maintenance, such as greasing and oil changes.
Assist with irrigation operations and maintenance.
Maintain accurate records of livestock and paddock treatments.
Qualifications and Skills:
Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
Hold a current Australian driver's license.
Experience working with modern machinery and GPS Auto Steer systems.
Knowledge of livestock husbandry practices.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays during peak farming periods.
Hold a chemical users permit (desirable but not essential).
