Company Overview:
Warrawagine Cattle Co, a privately owned cattle company, operates two cattle stations in the East Pilbara Region of Western Australia. With a focus on sustainable farming practices, they run approximately 30,000 head of cattle across two properties and engage in centre pivot irrigation for hay production. The company boasts a range of modern machinery, facilities, and a supportive management team open to individuals at all levels of experience.
Positions Available:
Stationhands - Warrawagine Station:
Working in a mixed team for various aspects of cattle handling, including mustering, drafting, processing, feeding, and watering animals.
Responsibilities include animal handling, husbandry, and welfare.
Proficiency in low stock stress handling, both on foot and on two-wheel motorbikes during mustering.
Operation of various machinery and small trucks.
Fencing, maintaining waters, and feeding lick and supplements to cattle.
Farmhands - Wallal Downs - Eighty Mile Beach:
Assisting the Farm Manager in grass production for hay and silage across twelve 48-hectare pivots.
Operation and maintenance of various plant and equipment, including tractors, loaders, and balers.
Proficiency in low stock stress handling while managing cattle on the stand and graze pivots.
Ability to follow instructions diligently.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Strong work ethic and motivation.
Capability to work in a team environment.
Competency in the operation of machinery and two-wheel motorbikes.
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to varying tasks.
Experience in farming, animal husbandry, or related field is preferred.
