Northern Rivers Farms is a small family farm specializing in the management of small forest plantations. Our farm is located in Sextonville, Northern Rivers, NSW.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Forestry Timber Labourer to join our team. The role involves various general laboring tasks related to forestry, including pruning, planting, and cutting small trees. Additionally, you will be responsible for operating a variety of hand and power tools, including chainsaws, and clearing work areas. This position requires working outdoors 90% of the time, and physical fitness is a must. While previous experience on a farm or in a remote location is an advantage, it is not essential. We encourage candidates of all genders to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general laboring tasks in forestry, including pruning, planting, and cutting small trees.
Operate hand and power tools, including chainsaws.
Clear work areas efficiently.
Maintain safety protocols in a remote location.
Work outdoors for the majority of the time.
Stay physically fit to perform the required tasks.
Requirements:
A valid car license is a minimum requirement, and having your own transport (4x4 or high clearance) is desirable.
Willingness to work in a remote location.
Physical fitness to handle the demands of the role.
Previous experience on a farm or in a remote location is an advantage but not essential.
Right to work in Australia.
Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical check, if required.
