Australian visas
There are several Australian visa types you can choose from. The Visitor visa allows you to visit Australia, either for tourism or business purposes. Working holiday visas are valid for one year, or up to three years if you meet certain conditions. If you intend to study in Australia, you will need to apply for a Student Visa. Applying for an Australian visitor/ tourist visa
Except for Australian or New Zealand residents, people will require a valid Australian visa to enter the country. You can apply for a range of Australian visa types, including tourist visas and working holiday visas, at your nearest Australian Embassy or Consulate. You can also apply for certain types of visas on the Australian Department of Home Affairs website.
Working Holiday Maker (WHM)
The Working Holiday Maker (WHM) program is a reciprocal program that allows young adults from selected countries to visit Australia for an initial 12-month holiday during which time they are permitted to undertake short-term work and study. There are two sub-classes of Working Holiday Visa, the Working Holiday visa (subclass 417) and the Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462).
