The Pacific Labour Scheme allows people from Pacific island countries to work in low and semi-skilled jobs in rural and regional Australia for up to 3 years. After 3 years you must spend a mandatory period outside Australia before you can apply for this visa again. Workers are currently placed in a range of sectors including meat processing, agriculture, aged care, accommodation, and fisheries.
How do I become a seasonal worker in Australia?
The Seasonal Worker Programme (SWP) is a short-term migration pathway for low-skilled workers from nine Pacific countries and Timor-Leste to work in Australia. You must be invited by an Australian employer who is a Temporary Activities Sponsor to participate in the Seasonal Worker Program. How to get an Australian agriculture visa
The Australian Agriculture visa (AAV program) is being designed for primary industry sectors including horticulture, meat processing, dairy, wool, grains, fisheries (including aquaculture), and forestry. The new agriculture visa will target skilled, semi-skilled, and low-skilled employees within specified occupations across these sectors. The program is a stream of the Temporary Work (International Relations) subclass 403 visa.
